Utilising the SuperSlow exercise system, Chris ran 1-1 and small group workout sessions for people looking to get back into exercise or for those rehabilitating injuries. This was a small, community gym in Bristol, where emphasis lay on knowing every client well, rather than making lots of money from a large client base.

With a Black Belt in Wado Ryu Karate at the age of 15, Chris studied a variety of martial arts, then specialised in Bushido Karate with the BAMA. Chris is now a 2nd Dan Black Belt in this style, and holds skills in Aikido, Kobudo weapons and self defence. Teaching on a 1-1 basis, in small groups and at National seminars, the skills learned in this practice permeate in to all of his coaching work.
